The world’s leading specialty measurement company is growing in the City of Taunton. That is where Waters Corporation (Waters) is re-setting its roots and constructing a new state-of-the-art precision manufacturing facility. The expansion follows state and local approval of a tax incentives package that will help fuel the Company’s growth. Construction of the 135,000 square foot addition to Waters’ existing facility is underway at the Myles Standish Industrial Park.

The Company reached out to Lynn Tokarczyk and the Business Development Strategies, Inc. (BDS) team to assist with negotiating and securing the 20-year Tax Increment Financing (TIF) in 2018. The incentive package approved by the Taunton City Council and Massachusetts Economic Assistance Coordinating Council (EACC) eases the way for Waters, a top global manufacturer and developer of innovative analytical science solutions, to virtually triple the existing footprint of its Taunton facility.
The expansion will bring more jobs to Taunton and the region. Waters currently has close to 100 employees at the Taunton facility and the Company expects to create additional jobs at the site in the future.
Joseph Forcucci, Senior Director of Manufacturing at Waters, credits Lynn Tokarczyk and the BDS team with being instrumental in assisting with the TIF approval. “Lynn and her team of specialists helped guide Waters through the incentives process and kept our expansion project on the fast track, ultimately delivering valuable financial results,” he said.
“This is an example of an outstanding community-business partnership,” said Tokarczyk. “When Waters realized more manufacturing space was needed, global real estate options were considered before the City of Taunton was selected. By choosing to expand in Southeastern Massachusetts, Waters demonstrated a commitment to the Bay State and confidence in the future of advanced manufacturing in Massachusetts.”
BDS has assisted more than 100 companies with plans to expand, create and retain jobs in Massachusetts. Waters joins many of the Commonwealth’s best-known companies on BDS’s extensive list of clients, including TripAdvisor, IPG Photonics, New England Ice Cream, MACOM, MilliporeSigma, Moderna Therapeutics, and Keurig.
