Tax incentives for Waters Corporation will Result in $200 Million Expansion in Taunton
The world’s leading specialty measurement company headquartered in Milford, Massachusetts is expanding and will triple the existing footprint of its Taunton manufacturing facility. The Waters Corporation’s (Waters) expansion follows state and local approval of a 20-year tax incentives package negotiated and secured by Business Development Strategies, Inc. (BDS).
When Waters realized more manufacturing space was needed, the Company reached out to BDS president Lynn Tokarczyk and her team to assist with navigating through the government incentives process. The Tax Increment Financing (TIF) package they secured eases the way for Waters to virtually triple the size of its existing facility and bring new jobs to the community and state.
Joseph Forcucci, Senior Director of Manufacturing at Waters, praised Tokarczyk and her team of subject matter specialists for steering the project towards a successful outcome. “Lynn and her team of specialists helped guide Waters through the incentives process and kept our expansion project on the fast track, ultimately delivering valuable financial results,” he said. With close to 100 employees at its Taunton location, Waters anticipates creating additional jobs in the future.
“When Waters realized more manufacturing space was needed, global real estate options were considered before the City of Taunton was selected,” Tokarczyk explains. “By choosing to expand in Southeastern Massachusetts, the Company demonstrated its commitment to the future of advanced manufacturing in the Bay State.”
