Lynn Tokarczyk joins Board of Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation

August 14, 2012

Lynn Tokarczyk, president of Business Development Strategies, Inc., (BDS), has recently been appointed to the Board of Trustees of Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation (MRHF), the philanthropic arm of Milford Regional Medical Center (MRMC).

A Bellingham resident and President of the state’s leading government’s incentives consulting firm, Tokarczyk has deep connections to the businesses and communities served by MRMC. A Natick native and Lasell College alumna, Tokarczyk began her career as owner and operator of the upscale women’s apparel store, Sincerely, Lynn, Inc., in Wayland. Her entrepreneurial spirit and passion for helping businesses expand were recognized in 1995 when the Massachusetts Office of Business Development (MOBD) chose her to be a project manager, and later, regional director, under the Cellucci administration. Recruited by Ernst & Young for its New England Area State and Local Tax Incentives Practice in 2000, Tokarczyk honed her skills in helping businesses grow by working with Fortune 500 companies on key business incentive projects and generating significant financial benefits for her clients. As founder and President of BDS since 2003, Tokarczyk has built a team of subject matter specialists to help growing businesses across Massachusetts expand and save cash while polishing her company’s reputation as the foremost government incentives consulting firm in the state.

Tokarczyk’s distinguished history of community involvement includes business development awards from various Chambers of Commerce, serving on the Executive Committee of Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM), and fundraising for many charitable organizations, such as the New England Home for Little Wanderers, the Angel Fund at Massachusetts General Hospital, and the MetroWest ESL Fund. In 2012, Tokarczyk was among a select group of individuals who served as hosts for the UMASS ALS Champion Fund event at which former Massachusetts Governor Paul Cellucci, was honored.

As a member of the MRHF Board of Trustees, Tokarczyk will join a panel of prominent community leaders in generating support for MRMC and its planned $40 million facility expansion and upgrade. “One of the Board’s major roles is to help us develop strong relationships with businesses and the community in general,” explains MRMC CEO Frank Saba. “One of the areas we’re asking the Directors to assist with is to identify companies and individuals with whom they can help us arrange discussions about the project and the future of the hospital and the community. Obviously, Lynn is extremely well connected and we anticipate she will be a huge help in this process.”

As she prepares to attend her first Board meeting in September, Tokarczyk is looking forward to the new challenge. “I am delighted to serve on the Board of Trustees of the Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation,” she says. “I look forward to using my knowledge and skills to benefit the health of the Milford Regional Medical Center and the communities it serves.”
